Update 1/30/12:
Tuesday: Practice change for tomorrow: Morning from 7-7:55 is the same, but adding an hour practice tomorrow after school. With the short notices, we are aware there may be conflicts. We have the tournament on Wednesday and need to clean up the new routine before that performance. Tournament on Wednesday is a 4pm/5pm performances, very similiar to our regular game performances.
Team Picture is on Thursday,Feb 2nd, before practice. Please bring your uniform for the picture.

Thanks to all the Parents for coming out yesterday for the DePaul game. The girls did a fantastic job, Ms. Bo and I are so proud of you. Some changes this week for practice due to the rescheduled Gemini Competiton. Please look at the schedule.

Reminder: There is no bus back to the school on Sunday, Jan 22. The girls need to be at WJHS by 10:45 am for a practice and then on the bus by 11:00 and we will go as a team to the game. Please send a note if your child is going home with you or is carpooling with another dancer. Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
The Dance Team DePaul Tickets are Sold out! If you still need tickets need to call the box office mention the name of the Wilmette junior high and they will give you the discounted price and your tickets will be at will call at the Allstate Arena. Thanks for all the advance ticket sales and look forward to seeing you at the game on Sunday.

This week is the Gemini competition on Thursday, Jan 12th. we will be leaving immediately after school to head to gemini. The admission is $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for students, kids 4 and under free. (No charge for coaches/cheerleaders, of course.) I was told that the competition shopuld end by 8pm (if we start on time).

Here is the information for the Gemini Competition: We will be leaving after school on the bus to Gemini around 3:30. If you are planning on taking your child home from the competition, please make sure we received an email or letter stating that you are picking up your child or your child is carpooling home by Tuesday, Jan 10th.

Dear Parents: Sorry this took so long to update. I had knee surgery the Friday before Christmas and have been struggling with my health and recovery time. So the schedule for January is up. Again thanks for your patience in advance.

We are ordering dance team jackets. This is an optional purchase and not required for the girls to have. We found an option that is reasonable priced. The jackets are $39.00. Checks need to be made to: WPS 39. If your child is interested then she needs to email Mrs. Bo by Monday Dec 19th with information of size for her jacket. School performances and how they work:
Here is how performance days at Wilmette and how it work. Dancers have practice from 3-3:30 in the gym so we can finalize the spacing and review before the game. Then the girls change and get ready and need to be in the fitness room by 4:00, we wait in their and dancers do homework until the 2 minute warning of the second quarter, the girls then line up and perform the halftime of the 4:00 game, it usually is around 4:15 or 4:30 depending on the fouls and time-outs. Then we go back to the fitness room, the dancers continue to work on their homework, we then wait for the 5:00 game halftime which again possible will start at 5:15-5:30 depending on fouls. After the performance the dancers can go home.
Also a reminder to make a check for $125 to Wps39 for the athletic fee

dance team. We appreciated all the hard work and effort during the dance
clinics. Your dedication and commitment was inspiring. We encourage all of you
to continue to dance and hope to see you return next year.
